Volunteer Opportunities; Lend a helpful Paw: Become a Cat Rescue Good Samaritan

We have many volunteer opportunities available if you love cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies, but cannot adopt or afford to donate. You can still be one of their heroes. Once you are approved to volunteer, we will ask you for your availability. Just let us know how much or little time you have to help, and if you need to cancel your volunteer time, some advance notice, if possible, helps us ensure the cats do not miss a feeding. We know your time is precious, and we appreciate the time you give us —and our cats and kittens love getting visitors.

We always need volunteers for:

  • Daily Food, water, and Litter changing—early Morning and Evening Shifts (Monday-Sunday): Depending on the number of cats in the rescue, the whole process can take up to 3 hours.
  • Mid-day play, friends —some babies must get their zoomies out or their cuddle meter filled. You can spend an hour or two playing with a few. It helps them forget for a little bit that they haven’t met their forever families just yet.
  • We always need volunteers for our fundraisers.
  • Do not forget fosters! Kitten season happens a few times a year, which overloads the rescues. We have many older cats, too, who would love a foster home until they find their forever home. Fostering leaves room for emergency rescues, injured, abandoned, or abused cats, a place to be safe and get the medical attention they desperately need.
  • Volunteers for transportation are needed. Occasionally, we must have a cat promptly retrieved from a location or transported to/from a spaying or neutering appointment. Transport volunteers provide significant assistance.
